The Jettribe Team has had a great weekend in Alabama at the second round of the IJSBA National Tour. The town was amazed as the racing rigs pulled in and unpacked. Hotel security kept watch over the Jettribe rig and the police even patrolled the area all night until the races on Saturday morning. The Jettribe booth was able to get right down front near all the action. The town was also incredibly supportive and opened up to the racers. A suite was provided at the baseball game over the weekend for racers to relax and lounge in. Restaurants and bars provided drinks for the racers, and a local barbeque place even provided some great BBQ for the racers. There was a ton of spectators who crowded around for racers’ autographs. And there was also a riverboat that sat near the race course so that the boat’s occupants could watch the races.
Our riders were very impressed with the race site. Here is Rick Sherker’s impression of the first day in Alabama: Briefly... The race site is right in the center of Montgomery with waterfront parking looking over the race course. The pits will be challenging, but the town has put in great effort to accommodate and have built a huge ramp to get access to the river. Great site for spectators who will have the opportunity to get a look at the Jetttribe gear located right behind the tower. Good nightlife too, with restaurants, bars, and minor league ballpark all within walking distance.
Our riders did a great job this weekend as well. Josh Block took 3rd place in the first moto of Pro-Am Ski GP and took 1st in the first moto of Pro-Am Ski Stock Spec. Bill Haig took 5th in the first moto of Pro-Am Ski GP and Jimmy took 7th.
We are also pleased to announce a few new additions to the Jettribe Clan. The National Guard Team made up of Trey and Cameron Frame and Alec Hohnadell have joined forces with us. Rick Sherker also joined Jettribe as our newest sponsored rider. Trey took 2nd in the first moto of Pro-Am Runabout Open and also took 1st place in the first two motos of Runabout Naturally Aspirated Spec. Cameron took 4th in the first moto of Pro-Am Runabout Stock and also took a 2nd in moto one and a 3rd in moto two of Runabout Naturally Aspirated Spec. Alec took 9th in the first moto of Pro-Am Ski GP, 4th in the first moto of Pro-Am Ski Stock Spec, and 1st in the first moto of Expert Ski Limited. Rick took 1st in the first moto of Pro-Am Ski GP and 3rd in the first moto of Pro-Am Ski Stock Spec.
A huge thanks goes out to AJ and his staff for putting on another great event. This was truly spectacular and a good time was had by all. Can’t wait to see everyone again soon!
