Calling All USA Racers: King's Cup 2011!

Calling all USA racers! Jettribe will be going to the World King’s Cup in Thailand this December for the third year in a row. Jettribe went to the King’s Cup for the first time in 2009 to scope things out and try to sell some gear. However, we soon realized that it would be awesome to take a team of riders over to Thailand to represent the USA. Last year, for the first time, we took a team of riders over to Thailand and they had a blast. The team, headed up by Tony Vo, consisted of Christine Milone and her husband Louis, Derek Correll, Jeremy Schandelmayer, Wilson Tai, Chelsea Schneider and her dad Gary, and our photographer John Cutright.
This year we are looking forward to taking another team of riders over to Thailand, which is where you come in. If you are interested, please contact Tony Vo at tony@jettribe.com. Our team last year had a very eye opening experience going overseas and interacting with a whole new culture. The sites, sounds, tastes, and smells were all new to the team and they eagerly welcomed them with open arms. They saw firsthand how friendly and accepting the locals were considering we were Americans who knew absolutely none of the Thai language. The racing was also slightly different and the riders were excited to see that the TJSBA definitely rolls out the red carpet for the racers. At the opening ceremony there were many dignitaries and even live entertainment. What more could you ask for?
The King’s Cup will be held December 1-4. More details to come later as the date gets closer. If you are interested please contact us as soon as possible to secure your spot on the team. Please note, you do not have to be a sponsored rider in order to be part of the Team USA.

Save a Tree One Shipment at a Time

We at Jettribe actually care for our environment! Even though we have been riding, and are still rididng, our two stroke Kawasaki 750 stand-ups for close to two decades now, we like to save a tree whenever we can.
As of two months ago, we stopped using cardboard boxes in our mass shipments but use huge burlap bags instead! We have about 1/3 the volume and about $500 worth of cardboard per shipment. That means that we can put this extra cash into diesel fuel for our tour rig!

Hotel Jettribe

This past weekend at the IJSBA National Tour race in Racine, Wisconsin Jettribe Team racer Chelsea Schneider and her dad Gary found out that the Jettribe Rig has many purposes.
Chelsea and Gary had the luxury of staying in the trailer at night during the weekend of racing. Not only does the rig hold tons of awesome Jettribe gear and clothing, but it also serves as our own little personal mobile motel. While most of the trailer’s body is used for storing gear, in the front end of the trailer is a mini office and on top of the office is a lofted bedroom.
The office serves as a convenient working place while at the races but also is used for meetings with racers or other members of the racing industry, as well as a nice cool place for racers and fans to hang out and get out of the hot sun. the A/C , couch, fridge, and microwave make the office an ideal place for the Jettribe Team to unwind after a long day of racing. The bedroom is complete with a comfy mattress, blankets, and plenty of extra space to stow luggage so that the occupant feels right at home.
After spending Friday night in the Jettribe trailer Chelsea and Gary reported that they were well rested and ready to tackle the first day of racing. Although we weren’t prepared for guests staying overnight in the trailer so Chelsea was surrounded by Jettribe equipment that we had stored up in the loft. The next morning she woke up saying she had been dreaming of Jettribe…we wonder why…After being sore from racing Chelsea looked forward to another night in a warm bed and after a long day of hauling skis and equipment and holding for his daughter, Gary was ready to crash on the couch. Both said that the trailer was definitely a nice luxury for a weekend of racing.
Jettribe is always happy to help out our racers and friends. Maybe you can be the next guests at Hotel Jettribe!

Jettribe World Travels: China

It is crazy where the Jettribe crew travels! We find ourselves in an ancient Chinese temple in South East Asia.

We sat down with the monks and took our fortune and according to the higher powers much fortune will come to Jettribe!

The strange thing is that our sales are at an all time high and we can’t keep up with supplying our cool Jettribe gear!

True? Sure looks like it!

Jettribe Boots Can Survive the Toughest Wear & Tear

Two weekends ago at the IJSBA National Tour race in Montgomery, AL, Jettribe team rider Trey Frame was involved in a huge wipeout during one of his motos in Pro Runabout Open.
Trey was hit while going over 80 mph and his boat then went into another rider who was also taken out. Fortunately Trey was not seriously hurt but did come away with some hardcore bruises, which wrap around his entire backside.
During the accident one of the other riders who got hit even lost his Jet Pilot shoes and couldn’t continue. However, Trey’s Jettribe RS-15 Race Boots stayed on very well and Trey was able to remount his ski. When the race was restarted Trey led wire to wire for the first overall win of the season!
Great job, Trey! You really go beyond the limits of rider testing our race gear!

Jettribe Press Release: Myrtle Beach, SC

Jettribe just got back from a great weekend of racing in Myrtle Beach, SC as part of Mike Young’s watercross tour. Not only did our team have a successful weekend of racing but we were also able to move a ton of gear which was really cool! But what was really awesome was that Jettribe received the “coolest sponsor award” and team rider Derek Correll won the “great sportsmanship award.” We couldn’t have been happier with such a great weekend of racing. Jettribe always looks forward to this race every year and we are never disappointed. Thanks to Mike Young and his crew for putting on another great event. We can’t wait to come back next summer and enjoy the sun, surf, and racing action!
