Belle River, Ontario Canada Press Release (APBA National Tour)

Rounds 7 & 8 of the APBA National Tour took place July 17-18 as a follow up to the races in Harbor Beach, MI that took place the previous weekend. It was so great to be a part of jet-ski racing finally coming back to this part of Canada after a decade. It was also great to have at least part of the Jettribe family back together again. Chelsea Schneider, Josh Block, and Jody Bachelder came to Canada to represent the Jettribe team and the US.

Not only was the site nice but it was great to see so many Canadian riders come out and race. The weather was beautiful all weekend but the racing conditions on Saturday tested all of the riders’ abilities and pushed them to the limits. Josh finished 1st and 2nd in Novice Ski Stock, 1st both days in Amateur Ski Open, and 3rd in the Can-Am Cup. Chelsea finished 2nd both days in Novice Women’s Ski Limited. And Jody finished 2nd and 3rd in Women’s Runabout.

On Sunday the riding conditions were much better and the racers were able to give some of their best performances. The Jettribe team also kicked butt all weekend, all of them bringing home top three finishes both days! Congratulations to all of the racers that participated and congratulations to Ray Proulx and Erika Olde for putting on such a successful racing event. It was such a great weekend and we were so excited to be a part of it!
