Jettribe at Colonial Beach, VA

For the round 6 of the IJSBA National Tour stop the Jettribe crew always enjoy spending time in Colonial Beach, Virginia! It is a cool residential, small fishing village and sort of a resort town! It’s hard describe, but it has a warm quaint Cape Cod feel to it. The local hotels or motels were a little bit challenging, so the Jettribe crew, Derek Correll and family , Trey Frame Family and Raamracing family stayed at the Holiday Inn Express about 13 miles away. And we were glad we did.</photo>

The city of Colonial Beach could not have been any more accommodating. They blocked off the streets for us and provide able security at the site. The local radio station was pumping out play by play racing action all weekend long! It was awesome!

As always AJ's crew did an awesome job of rolling out the red carpet for the Jettribe trailer when we rolled in. It was a tight pit and Jim went beyond the call of duty to move trailers so that we could squeeze into the prime spot! Our booth was located in the middle of all of the action.

The race action was also phenomenal as always.  Trey Frame took a 4th overall in Pro-Am Runabout Open and a 1st overall in Runabout N/A Spec. Trey’s brother Cameron took a 3rd overall in Pro-Am Runabout Stock. Rick Sherker took 2nd overall in Pro-Am Ski GP and 1st overall in Pro-Am Ski Stock Spec. And Alec Hohnadell took 7th overall in Pro-Am Ski GP, 3rd overall in Pro-Am Ski Stock Spec, and 1st overall in Expert Ski Limited.
The sport class once again was huge with almost 20 riders! This was one of the very few times that our Jettribe booth was next to the racers pits and it was cool to have Trey and his family next to our booth the entire weekend. Quality time well spent! Plus, we were able to meet Rick's Sherker’s mom and day. We at Jettribe enjoy not just getting to know our team riders but their families also. We think personal relationships go a long way.

We look forward to next year at Colonial Beach, Virginia again.
