Jettribe's Journey Across The Border

Northern Exposure! Hey the Jettribe Tour Rig has ventured across the Canadian border for the Can Am / APBA Tour stop in Belle River, Canada on July 17th and 18th 2010. With the support from Patrick Mell and Ray Proulx, we packed our toothbrushes, loaded up our tour rig, filled it full of diesel and made the border crossing.

Strangely, it was a breeze for us to cross the border. We were totally stoked that the Canadian Customs just waived us by, welcoming Jettribe into their beloved country; and when we left they did not question us at all. Whew! We were pulling a huge set-up and expecting to be searched and tortured! But the funny thing (not for them) is that the filming guys Jerry and Ian drove out from California and had transported some of our cool RS-15 Race boots and Wet suits for us. We were running low on these hot items. What really sucks is that they were detained by Canadian Customs for 5 hours coming into Canada and when they left Canada, the same thing! We guess that two guys with a rented Toyota Camry with the back seat and trunk full of gear, crossing the border on a Friday night fits into some kind of top secret profile database. Plus, it was a total bummer that some racers where turned back and refused entry into Canada due to some colorful past history.......HMMMM?

To our surprise, these Canadian Northern riders are totally hard core! They wrench on their skis all winter long and ride hard during their short summer season. We met some great folks, passed out lots of our Jettribe catalogs and our friend Blowsion's full color catalogs also. For dealers who had received the thick Hot Products catalogs, please, say high to Ken when calling in your orders.

The race site is located in a small town called Belle River, about 45 minutes away from the border. The townsfolk greeted us with open arms (as long as our Jettribe rig does not block their view of the race site). The site is a little bit cozy with about 80 riders, plus their trucks, trailers, and families. We had a hard time squeezing into a cool spot in the pit area.

We are totally amped about the amount of gear that was sold. These Canadian riders dig our Jettribe gear. To be honest, the Canadian folks sport the same gear and lifestyle clothes that we wear in Southern California. The Canadians have a few hotties that caught our eyes. Some of them may need a tan but other than that, babes are babes - no matter where they are from.

Well, we are back in California now and getting ready for the next APBA tour stop in Colonial Beach, Virginia. See all of your there!
